WHAT IS MICROBLADING?

Microblading is an advanced technique of cosmetic tattooing that is done by a process of implanting color pigment beneath the surface of the skin with a row of micro sterile, disposable needles that form a blade shape which will produce the appearance of hair where there isn't any, or add more to enhance and create fullness where hair already exists. This is with a manual hand tool, not a machine.

DOES MICROBLADING HURT?

Topical anesthetic cream and gel are used for numbing before and during your procedure. Pain threshold levels vary from person to person and every effort is made to ensure you remain comfortable for the entirety of the procedure. Most clients say it does not hurt at all! However, please note you will be more sensitive on your menstrual cycle.

HOW LONG DOES IT LAST?

The treatment will fade over time and a touch-up is required 4-8 weeks after the initial procedure and then every 6-8 months. Frequency of touch-ups depends on a number of factors including sun exposure, chemical peels (glycolic, lactic, etc.), how active the client is, and how fast each individual's cell turnover is.  Please note that final results and time frame cannot be guaranteed as each skin type will hold pigments differently and break down at different rates.

Touch ups are needed for cosmetic tattoo procedures, with each new procedure requiring 2 or more visits. The initial procedure followed by a touch up procedure 30 days later. Previously tattooed eyebrows may require one or two additional appointments and rarely achieve the same results to those who have no previous tattoo work because of the existing scar tissue and color under the skin, even if it isn't visible.

WHAT SHOULD I DO BEFORE MY PROCEDURE?

If possible please come to your appointment with your brows filled in the way you do them daily so we can get a general feel of how you'll be comfortable with your microblading result. If you plan to go on a vacation, it is recommended to plan your trip a minimum of 7 days after the procedure. Avoid any blood thinners for 24 hours prior to the appointment. This also includes Vitamin E, Aspirin, Pre Workout and Alcohol.

HOW WILL I LOOK IMMEDIATELY AFTER?

Beautiful. A lot of people think they will leave red and swollen but microblading doesn't usually cause swelling since its less invasive than a tattoo. You may feel your new brows look darker and thicker than expected for the first few days. Color will gradually soften in color and shrink slightly in size during the complete healing process (30 days).

HOW DO I BOOK AN APPOINTMENT?

Face

IT’S MY VERY FIRST FACIAL, WHICH SERVICE SHOULD I CHOOSE?

We recommend our Signature Facial. During this personalized facial, we will ascertain what your needs are and create a customized treatment. Please note: If you have a big event coming up and have never had a facial before, we don’t recommend getting one a day or two before the event. It would be rotten luck if you had a reaction to a product, so get your first facial two to three months before a special occasion.

WHAT FACIAL DO YOU RECOMMEND FOR OILY, ACNE PRONE SKIN?

For oily, breakout-prone skin, we use products that clean and slough off excess oil and dead skin cells. After cleansing and a light scrub, gentle extractions are performed. Following extractions, an appropriate mask for your skin will be chosen followed by toner and moisturizer.

HOW OFTEN SHOULD I GET A FACIAL ?

Every 4-6 weeks is recommended for optimal results. However, my general rule is no longer than 3 months apart. If you go longer than 3 months, you are really waiting until you need a facial and you don't get the benefit of seeing your skin improve over time.

WHAT DO I NEED TO KNOW ABOUT FACIAL WAXING?

Hair should be 1/4 to 1/2 inches long. At least two weeks of no shaving or 4 weeks after your last wax

IS MICRODERMABRASION RIGHT FOR ME?

Microdermabrasion can solve many different types of skin concerns, and the procedure is easy, painless and extremely effective.

Diamond microdermabrasion is an advanced mechanical method of exfoliating the skin. Exfoliation eliminates dead skin cells on the surface layer of your skin that can lead to complexion problems if not removed. The process is completed much quicker, and this allows the production of fresh new skin cells.

Microdermabrasion requires a series of treatments to provide fast improvement for skin concerns such as fine lines, blemishes and resultant scarring, age spots and sun damage. It works especially well on issues such as acne which is caused by too many dead skin cells leading to an infection within the skin. By removing this buildup of cells, skin is improved and additional problems are reduced or prevented.

CAN ANYONE DO MICRODERMABRASION?

We do not recommend this to anyone who has been on Accutane (or similar medication) or blood thinning medication within the last 12 months, anyone with active skin infections such as herpes simplex or active acne, pregnant or breastfeeding women (in the first month,) anyone who has received injectables or fillers within 72 hours or facial peels or waxing within 14 days, type 1 diabetics, or sunburned skin.

IS THERE ANY DOWNTIME AFTER MICRODERMABRASION?

There is no downtime following the procedure (your skin may appear a little pink for about an hour afterwards) and it may be repeated every four weeks as desired. You may experience some dryness after the treatment so moisturizing is recommended.

WHAT IS DERMAPLANING?

Dermaplaning is an exceptionally gentle method to resurface the face using an aesthetic tool. It removes the outermost layer of skin and has the added benefit of hair removal.

This is and a good choice for anyone with fine, “peach fuzz,” facial hair, and those with extremely sensitive skin, redness, rosacea, or visible capillary veins. Improvements such as smoother texture and a fresh skin appearance are immediately noticeable.

Following this treatment, products penetrate skin better and makeup glides on with a flawless finish.

BEFORE DERMAPLANING:

If you are using Retin-A, Renova, Tazorac, Differin or any other prescription exfoliators for skincare, discontinue use one week prior to the treatment.

Avoid microdermabrasion, chemical peels, facial wax one week before treatment.

If you are experiencing an active acne breakout you'll need to postpone this treatment.

AFTER DERMAPLANING:

Do not use Retin-A,Renova,Tazorac, Differin , or any other prescription exfoliators for skincare for 72 hours.

You may find that you are sensitive to products you usually use for a couple of days.

Apply sunscreen 30+ 20-30 minutes when exposed to any sunlight.
